Brochure design for The South Australian Country Women’s Association Inc

This brochure is designed for The South Australian Country Women’s Association Inc to provide information on what the association offers and how they contribute to the community. This brochure is focused on the design principles and elements. These aspects make the design look more interesting and make more readers to look at it.

This brochure has very effective use of balance to helps readers process the information efficiently. Balance - white space is used in the background and surround and texts to separate the headings, images and the information, because a lot of text is applied in each page. Also they can give a rest to the readers’ eye.

Different size of font would be given a different eye-catching. In this design, I have selected the font Garamond (TT) 14 for Title, Times New Roman 12 for heading and Times New Roman 10 for content. The colour of the background for each page is in white. It shows contrast, creates movement and leads the eyes from the front cover to the back. I put the graphics in the middle or bottom of the page. It would give me more space to organize other information.

Alignment is a placement of text and other elements lining up on the page to make the layout easier to read. In this design, justify with last line aligned left is applied the text. The information is instantly more organized than putting the elements in different alignments. Now the elements have connection with any other elements on the pages. Strong alignment is often the missing key to a more professional look.

This brochure is applied good design principles and elements in the brochure. The principles are concepts used to organize or arrange the structural elements of design and used correctly in a balanced way, are the keys to an effective and elegant design that can successfully deliver its message in a dynamic way.
