Week 9 Media Issue

Internet is very convenience recently. People can go on the internet and browse on the information what they are looking for. But the bad thing is advertisers and other third parties can access users’ accounts if they have e-accounts. As the security firm Symantec is not strong enough. They can get the personal details from the accounts such as name, address, phone number, and credit card details etc.
There is a security vulnerability on Facebook for years. However, Facebook said it had fixed this problem and no evidence of the private information being taken. The thirty-party programs allow users to play game, shop and do other tasks on Facebook. In some cases, the private information gets accessed and stolen. Facebook has over 100,000 applications and hundreds of thousands of applications may have accessed token to third parties.
A Facebook spokeswoman said that no evidence of this issue resulting in a user’s private information being shared with third parties and Facebook has strong policy enforcement and technical measures that allow them to quickly take action against this issue happened.
Facebook does not take this responsibility and keeps saying about no evidence to prove that third parties can access users’ account. Now the only thing Facebook can do is change the security system and users should use Facebook more carefully. They do not give their private information to some unauthorised thirty parties or some applications from Facebook.
