Redesign Poster

I have chosen to redesign the poster for UniSA. The original one looks boring. There is no background and the image is in black and white. Only two colours blue and red are applied to this poster.

In the redesign poster, I chose to design it without background. The redesign poster typically includes both textual and graphic elements. It is designed to be both eye-catching and convey information. I used different colours and sizes of font. They are Arial and Arial Black. The title is Arial Black 48 and italic. It creates a focus point of this piece design. The content is Arial Black 22 orange, 30 purple and 38 green. The text at the bottom is Arial 12 and black. Different colours and sizes of text make the design looked more interesting. Different size of font would be given a different eye-catching. Colour can draw the attention to a particular part of the design. It leads the eye to what should be the first focus on and convey the message – submit your poetry. Colour is added to increase visual appeal such as the blue title can lead the eye to focus on it.

This poster has very effective use of balance to helps readers process the information efficiently. White space is used in the background and surround and texts to separate the headings, images and the information, because a lot of text is mainly applied in the page. Moreover they can give a rest to the readers’ eye.
